                                                                                                                PROVENCE GETAWAY TOUR 2019

Using our in-depth knowledge of the French Alps, Live Life Cycling Adventures has created a unique 9 day itinerary to join together the most majestic roads in Provence, combined with the Giant of Provence, Mont Ventoux. The  riders will be supported by a follow vehicle, and a team of guides including mechanic and soigneur. The trip is inclusive of breakfast, morning tea and lunch. Live Life Cycling Adventures offering is industry-leading, with Pro-level support, laundry, on-road support, route GPX files and an experienced ride guide.

June 21st

Transfer from Marseille to Sault at the base of Mont Ventoux

June 22nd

Ride into the Drome Region 72km 1000m of climbing

 A largely undiscovered region, it offers the cyclist some of the most spectacular contrasting landscape within France; from the mountainous Alpine Vercors in the north to the low-lying lavender fields of the south.

Today will be a wonderful introduction to the Provence region. The rolling hills of the Drome region will let you stretch your legs, whilst enjoying some spectacular scenery.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

June 23rd

Ride Mont Ventoux from Sault. Option to do climb from Bedoin or Malaucene  as well.

Mont Ventoux is one of Frances most iconic climbs. Used in the Tour de France on numerous occasions, you will start with the gentle slopes from the sault side, starting in the Lavender fields before the climb is gentle. Chalet Reynard marks 6 km to go before the top. You will be in the moon scape, which Mont Ventoux is famous for. All the effort will be worth it as you have 360 deg views of Provence.




June 24th

Recovery Ride around Provence region  40km 550m of climbing

 

June 25th

 Transfer to Saint Didier in the  Vaucluse  Region

There will be an afternoon ride for anyone that would like to stretch their legs

 

June 26th

Today we will ride through the Provencal villages in the region.

60km 1000m of climbing

 

 

 

 


 

 

 

June 27th

Today we will ride deep into the Luberon, where we will ride to the town of Gordes, which has been listed as “one of the most beautiful cities in France” From there we will visit the Sénanque Abbey with its Lavendar fields in full bloom.

Ride 80km approx. 1100m of climbing.



 

 

 

 

 

June 28th

Gorges de la Nesque

One of the highlights of any Provencel Retreat, the Gorges de la Nesque is a road made for cycling

70km approx.  1000m of climbing

 

June 29th

Transfer to Marseille

 

 

Inclusions: Transfers to and from the airport

  • All breakfast, morning tea and lunches on ride days
  • Cycling Laundry throughout the trip
  • Bikes assembled, maintained and re packed

Trip details Based on double-occupancy

 Double/Twin Occupancy - $3600 AUD

Single Occupancy - $4300 AUD

 Full GPX routes are provided prior to departure.

 Live Life Cycling Adventures will provide luggage transport during the event from hotel to hotel. We do recommend guests pack appropriately but limit their luggage to 1 medium size bag and 1 hand carry item.

Bicycles are not included in the package. Bicycles Riders can fly from Australia with their personal bicycle. Alternatively it will be possible to hire a Pro-level bicycle from Live Life Cycling Adventures 

Deposit Upon confirmation of the trip, each rider is required to pay a $1000 AUD deposit. Final Payment The remaining balance must be received by 60 days prior to departure.
